Last December I received the confirmation from FIAP about my latest achievement: I was honored with the Excellence FIAP (EFIAP) distinction level. Fédération Internationale de 'Art Photographique is an appreciated international organization of national associations of photography.
FIAP has strict rules defining the requirements to comply the different levels of photography distinctions.
The main requirements for the EFIAP level are the followings:
Have taken part with success in at least 30 international salons under FIAP Patronage in at least 20 different countries.
Have obtained at least 250 acceptances with at least 50 different works in international salons under FIAP Patronage (acceptance means the photograph is selected for the exhibition of the contest)
submit 5 photographic works in form of a digital file. All the submitted works must have obtained at least 3 FIAP-recognised acceptances in different salons and at least 2 works must have obtained an award. These 2 awards must be from different countries.
I am happy to mention I quite outperformed the requirements with 300+ acceptances, 75 different photographs, 25 awards (gold, silver and bronze medals, honorable mention ribbons, salon diplomas).
Today the digital form of the certificate was sent to my email address, unfortunately, there is not yet a plan when will the official ceremony take place.
